Greenfly to power the launch of the NAIA’s Brand Advocacy Program and deliver content to athletes around Athletics Championships
SANTA MONICA, Calif. and KANSAS CITY, Mo. (December 11, 2024) – The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) today announced a three-year partnership with Greenfly, the leader in powering short-form content workflows for sports, media and other brands to launch a first-of-its-kind brand ambassador program in college athletics. The NAIA’s brand advocacy program will harness its extensive network of 250 member institutions as storytellers to amplify the association’s visibility through short-form content.
Social media has become just as valuable to sports organizations as traditional broadcasts, rivaling the value of media rights deals in driving exposure for programs and associations. As a trailblazer in championing programs of all sizes, the NAIA looked to Greenfly to launch a brand advocacy program that empowers the association with the tools to amplify its reach through authentic, community-driven storytelling.
The NAIA will use Greenfly to seamlessly create, collect, share and organize content with ambassadors across member institutions including presidents, athletic directors, coaches and administrators. The association will also use Greenfly to source user generated content from ambassadors, fans and athletes during marquee events through the platform’s +Engage functionality.
“Greenfly is the leader in short-form media content management, and we’re excited about the potential of this partnership,” said NAIA President & CEO Jim Carr. “We’re confident that Greenfly will increase the NAIA’s reach and recognition, which is at the core of our brand advocacy efforts.”
The NAIA will use Greenfly’s newly launched +Event Galleries functionality to help athletes, parents and schools access content captured at Athletics Championships. +Event Galleries leverages Greenfly’s AI-powered Selfie Search to sort and filter content athletes are featured in.
“Short-form content has been, and continues to be, a leading driver in helping organizations connect with audiences, build their brands and foster deeper engagement,” Greenfly CEO Daniel Kirschner said. “The deployment of Greenfly’s technology at scale within an organization like the NAIA is unlike anything we’ve seen in the college space before. This partnership underscores their commitment to equipping member institutions and staff with cutting-edge tools to elevate their digital strategy.”
The NAIA joins the ranks of major leagues like the NBA, NHL and MLB, all of which rely on Greenfly to drive brand awareness and deliver content at scale.
