Big Ten using Greenfly to Curate Fan Multimedia in Conference Championship

Sports Business Journal announces that the Big Ten Conference is collaborating with Greenfly to enhance its social media presence by curating fan-submitted photos and videos during the 2024 football championship game between Oregon and Penn State. Utilizing Greenfly’s +Engage tool, the conference aims to collect user-generated content (UGC) from fans, which will be featured on Big Ten social channels and compiled into a 60-90 second recap video. This initiative reflects the Big Ten’s commitment to fan engagement and storytelling.

“The idea of it is to be fan-centric,” Big Ten Senior Director/Digital & Social Media Tim Shanahan told SBJ. “Any time we can engage our fans and make them more either a part of the conversation or have them help us tell the story of something, that’s something we’re going to continue to be interested in doing moving forward.”
